Neshaminy Valley Baptist Church 30 Year Celebration of Ministry
Come and join us as we give God the glory by celebrating the past, present & future of NVBC
In April 1977 the church started to meet via home Bible
studies with 7 people (Pastor’s Family & Resh Family). The first
church service was help on July 3, 1977 in the chapel of the Bensalem
United Methodist Church with 13 people present. The chapel of the United Methodist
Church was not heated so the church was required to find another
residence. The Bensalem School District rented the Belmont Hills
Elementary School’s gym to the church and Sunday services were moved to
this location in September 1977. The church continued to meet for Worship every Sunday at
the school and in 1979 the first Sunday School program was established
prior to the worship service. On June 24th, 1978 the Neshaminy Valley
Baptist Church incorporated in the state of Pennsylvania with 20
charter members.
On Sunday, November 9th
the church will be celebrating it's 30 year anniversary with a special
Sunday Morning Worship Service at the church followed by a luncheon
from 1 PM to 5 pm at the Maltese Room located in the Cornwell Heights Fire
Station located at 2049 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA. |
|
This celebration is open to everyone who has passed through the doors of NVBC or has been touched by the ministries of the church. The cost for the luncheon is $20/Adult; $10/Child ages 6-12 and children under 5 are free. There is limited seating for the luncheon so reservations will be required. There is a link at the bottom of this page to make your reservations and submit a reflection about your time at NVBC. When paying for your tickets, send your payment to the church at Neshaminy Valley Baptist Church, Attention Celebration, 2895 Bristol Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Please make all checks payable to NVBC and on the memo/for line of your check please note "Celebration". When considering bringing children to the luncheon, you will be responsible for them since there will be no children's program or activities available for them.
There will be a booklet printed with reflections on NVBC from the people who have been a part of our ministry. If you cannot attend and would like to contribute your reflections about NVBC or how NVBC has made a difference in your life, please submit them using the link at the bottom of this page.
God has blessed our ministry here in Bensalem for the past 30 years. The ministry at NVBC has changed the lives of many people and we have been blessed by the many people who have come
through the doors of the church. If at all possible, please join us in
the celebration of all God has done through this church.
