Welcome to the Neshaminy Valley Baptist Church Web Site
A Personal Note From Pastor Joe
I have had the privilege of pastoring NVBC for the past 11 years.  They have been wonderful years because the Lord has knit our hearts with joy and love.  We have grown in our worship of God, knowledge of God's Word, and in our love for one another.  If you were to visit us, what would you find?  Well, you would experience a simple church with ordinary people who come because God has called them to NVBC.  A people who are transparent and accepting of others; a people who desire to grow in spiritual things, and where laughter and teasing (the pastor) are considered normal!  We study and preach God's Word and are always excited in discovering its truth and relevance for our daily living!  We are going through an exciting period of growth - both spiritually and numerically, and look forward to how God will use us in our community.
Elizabeth and I have been married for 20 years and we have three children - Anna, Rebekah, and Nathan.  Even though I come from a heritage of pastors in the family, I went through a phase where I left the Church and the Lord.  At the age of 20, I recommitted my life to the Lord and have been grateful to Him since then for my salvation and calling to ministry.  Because of my spiritual journey, I have a heart and am very comfortable with the unchurched and those who are curious about Jesus.
NVBC has a blend of very young Christians and those who have a long relationship with Jesus.  We are intergenerational - something  that is a high value for us.  Our Worship is a blend of the traditional hymns and contemporary songs, and we sing enthusiastically at our times of Worship!
I realize that in this age, people check out the website before coming to a church - and that is what I would do if I were to visit a new area.  If you are looking for a new church, a place to grow and minister, come and visit us - because the Spirit of God still is in the Church and among God's people ... something that cannot be experienced on a webpage!  When you visit us, don't be surprised if many come to wish and welcome you because we are truly glad to welcome people in the name of Jesus Christ!

Children's Activities
We love children at NVBC. We have adopted a "Children Safe Policy" so you can be assured your children will be safe and well taken care of when at NVBC. We offer "Pioneer Clubs" for children age 4 through 5th grades . We also have a Children's Church program called "Jumping & Walking For Jesus" during our worship time every Sunday. We offer nursery and toddler facilities during our Sunday School time and Worship service.  Your children will learn about Jesus and God through teaching, activities and Bible memorization.
